Lieutenant Governor Bysiewicz gets a tour of local businesses

BRISTOL — Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz visited Bristol Wednesday morning, stopping in to The Bristol Bazaar, the BristolWORKS! job training center and Family Roots Produce Market for tours.
Bysiewicz was joined on the tours by Mayor Jeff Caggiano, Justin Malley, economic development director, Dawn Nielsen, marketing and public relations specialist, and Rep. Joe Hoxha.
During the stops, she learned about how BristolWORKS! is training people for careers in manufacturing, early childhood education, healthcare and information technology. She also stopped at booths for several start-up businesses at The Bristol Bazaar, where she picked up some fudge made by La Famiglia Tedesco for her husband. She also picked up dandelion greens, broccoli rabe and parsley from Family Roots which she said she planned to use to make a soup.
